A: Yes! RYLA is unique in that it is open to anyone between the ages of 19 to 32, including Rotarians and their family members.
A: Exceptions are made on a case by case basis. Please contact the RYLA chair, Kyla Marshall, for details.
A: On Wednesday July 15th, Rotarians from 2026 sponsoring clubs are allowed to visit the program. They will be given the choice of attending an AM session or a PM session where they can attend and observe the program. Rotarian guests will be asked to only observe during their time as to not disrupt the participant’s experience. To register, please contact the RYLA Chair by June 1st.
A: The cost for one participant is $1,500 which covers the cost of lodging, food, materials, and other expenses. As a participant, you are graciously sponsored by Rotary Clubs in District 5100 to attend this program at no cost to you.
A: There are five different sponsorship levels available. Please see the support tab for more information. Once a sponsorship level has been selected and shared with the RYLA chair, you will be directly billed from the District 5100 Office. This will make the payment process easier for all involved. If you choose to make out a check, they should be made out to Rotary District 5100. If there is space, also include a note that the check is for RYLA 2026.
A: Applications are due to the RYLA committee no later than May 31st in order to be considered.
A: Most of the sponsorship funds pays for rooms and meals for the week at Menucha Retreat Center. The remaining funds go towards the supplies used during the week including binders, handouts, name tags, etc. The entire RYLA staff and all of the speakers are volunteers who donate their time to the program.
A: This is a common question by Rotarians. We encourage you to reach out to young professionals at your jobs, in your community organizations, and even within Rotary. Each year, a number of participants are Rotarians and Rotaractors.
The RYLA staff is taking the initiative to find participants for the RYLA program through local colleges, businesses, word of mouth referrals, and more. Rotary Clubs are still encouraged to find their own participant to send.
